Trukhanov island

The project envisages a complete reconstruction of the “Central” recreation area, as well as the arrangement of a network of pedestrian connections that will unite the territories of recreation areas into a single complex with optimal access to any point in the territory in compliance with the requirements and for people with disabilities.

The main purpose of reconstruction was the modern development of infrastructure for recreation of Kiev.

In 2020, the pedestrian and cycling paths, the sowing lawn and flower beds, new trees and bushes, planted trees, shrubs and other plants were updated with modern coverage 1,370 pcs.; benches, garbage urns, lanterns are installed; incoming group canopy; modern lighting, irrigating and video surveillance systems; road surface over 3,145 m2 and cycling.

The “highlight” is the pergola canopy – a unique architectural structure that protects visitors from the heat during the day, and shines with good lighting at night. Construction and installation works of the pergola design with a total weight of 185,461 kg, with a covering area of 1,142 m2, were carried out. The shape of the pergola is made in such a way as to resemble the shape of the surrounding trees, and its color is selected for the color of tree trunks. Also, the terraces around resemble islands. In the project, we generally preserved the existing terrain.
